About the winemaker
The Gál Tibor Winery was established in 1993. Tibor Gál’s father, Tibor Sr., was the most famous Hungarian winemaker in the 1990s and early 2000s. After his tragic death in 2005, his family overtook the management of the estate lead by Tibor Gál Jr. Today Tibor Jr., who has experience both domestically and abroad as a winemaker, seeks to marry modern winemaking technology with the local values and traditions that make Hungarian wine unique, proudly carrying on the family tradition with an eye to developing the future of winemaking in Eger.
